Lenten manna with pumpkin is simply an amazing delicacy for all lovers of this sweetish vegetable. Preparing the pie is very simple, although not quick. First you need to bake the pumpkin and make a puree from it. At the same time, you can mix semolina with water, orange juice, zest and sugar: let it swell. Well, then combine the pumpkin puree with the semolina mixture, put it in a mold of a suitable size and put it in the oven. Interested? Serves:
Pumpkin pulp - 500 g
Orange - 1 pc
Semolina - 175 g
Sugar - 115 g
Flour - 60 g
Vanilla sugar - 10 g
Baking soda - ½ tsp
Vegetable oil - 60 ml
Salt - to taste

Prepare all manna ingredients. Coarsely chop the pumpkin pulp and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the pumpkin for 15–20 minutes (until soft). Let cool slightly and grind in a blender.

Wash the orange thoroughly and dry. Remove the zest with a fine grater. Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice. Pour semolina into a bowl. Add 150 ml of warm water, orange zest and juice, regular and vanilla sugar, salt. Stir and leave for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Add pumpkin puree to the swollen semolina mixture. Stir. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Sift the resulting mixture through a sieve into the semolina mixture. Stir again.

Pour in vegetable oil. Stir the semolina mass again. Grease a baking dish with a diameter of 24 cm with vegetable oil. Pour the mixture into it and smooth it out.

Bake the manna with pumpkin for about 45 minutes. Then let cool in the pan (about 20 minutes) and serve. You can sprinkle with powdered sugar mixed with ground cinnamon.
