Raisin wine at home is worth trying at least once! It is completely different from a drink made from fresh berries and has a special aroma and tart, rich taste. It's all due to dried grapes. Such berries concentrate more sugar and minerals. Therefore, the drink prepared on their basis turns out to be sweeter and stronger. Another big plus of raisin wine is that it can be made all year round! For the drink, choose large, aromatic berries that are minimally processed with preservatives. It is very important that wild yeast remains on them, which starts the fermentation process. Therefore, try to buy raisins from a trusted place, avoiding cheap varieties. Or you can take several to try and then choose the one that gave the best result.

Water - 10 l
Sugar - 4 kg
Raisin - 100 g
Sugar - 50 g
Water - 900 ml
1
To make raisin wine at home, prepare a starter. Do not wash the raisins, otherwise all the yeast that is on the surface will disappear, and without them the starter will not ferment. Place in a liter jar and fill with warm water (not boiled). Then add sugar, cover with gauze and place in a warm place for 3 days.
2
How do you know when the starter is ready? The berries will float to the surface, and foam, small air bubbles and a slight aroma of fermentation will appear. Put a rubber glove on the neck and leave it warm for another 1 day.
3
Place the wine preparation in a cool place, and before using it for its intended purpose, return it to heat and add no more than 1 tsp. sugar to activate the yeast.
4
Prepare the wine. Sort the raisins, remove debris and twigs, but do not wash them. Pour unboiled water over the berries. It is important that it lightly covers them. Leave them like this until they swell.
5
Prepare convenient containers for wine. Grind the raisins in any convenient way, add the remaining water to it and pour into the prepared container. Add the starter. Stir. Cover with gauze. Place in a warm place for 2-3 days. Shake the container periodically.
6
Stir the wort and pour into a plastic or glass bottle. Put on a rubber glove on top. Make a puncture on your finger with a needle. Secure it well to the neck so that it does not tear off. Place the bottle of mash in a dark and warm place for 2 months.
7
When the glove falls off, pour the drink into another container and put it in a cool place for 2-3 months. From time to time, pour the wine from one container to another to get rid of sediment.
8
Then filter the wine, fill the prepared bottles with it and seal with corks. You can add a little sugar. Leave to ripen for another six months.
