Prepare the corn on the cob: thoroughly remove all husks and silk. Carefully trim off the protruding stem, then cut or break each cob into 3–4 equal pieces. Place the resulting pieces in a pot and cover with boiling water, then put it on the stove.
Once the water boils, generously salt it and cook the corn over medium heat for 20–30 minutes, until it is par-cooked. Afterwards, carefully remove the corn with a slotted spoon or tongs into a colander to drain excess water.
Crush the garlic cloves with the flat side of a knife, pressing firmly with the palm of your hand. Remove the peel. Heat a spacious pan with olive oil and add the crushed garlic cloves.
After about half a minute, when the garlic begins to release a noticeable aroma, add the corn cob pieces to the pan and begin to brown them on all sides. Once the garlic darkens, remove it from the pan and discard.
Add the chopped rosemary sprigs to the pan and continue to sauté the corn for another 7 minutes over medium heat, turning the pieces occasionally to ensure even browning. Then, add the butter, let it melt, and cook the corn for a couple more minutes until it develops an appetizing golden-brown crust.
