Thoroughly wash and dry the fresh cucumbers, fragrant dill, and juicy onions. Carefully peel the onions. Prepare sterile jars and lids to ensure your salad stores perfectly.
Slice the cucumbers into elegant half-moons. Finely chop the fresh dill. Julienne the onion into thin strips to add a piquant touch to your salad.
Combine all the chopped ingredients in a large pot and mix thoroughly to allow the flavors to blend harmoniously.
Pour the fragrant vegetable oil and vinegar into the pot. Add salt, sugar, bay leaf, and peppercorns, then mix thoroughly to ensure every piece is coated with the marinade.
Place the pot over low heat. Wait until the cucumbers change color, acquiring an appetizing hue. Then remove the pot from the stove.
Carefully place the cucumbers into sterilized jars. Seal the lids, invert the jars, and wrap them in a warm blanket. Leave them to cool completely for the salad to marinate perfectly.
Store your delicious "Winter King" salad in a cool, dark place so it can delight you with its taste throughout the winter.
