Thoroughly wash the apples. Carefully, without cutting through the fruit completely, remove the cores with a sharp knife, creating a hollow for the filling.
Wash the orange. Using a knife or a fine grater, remove the zest from the orange, being careful not to include the white pith. Then squeeze the juice from the orange pulp.
In a separate bowl, combine the pine nuts, honey, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Carefully fill the prepared apples with the fragrant mixture.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Place the apples in the dish, filling-side up, and bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, until the apples are tender.
Sprinkle the remaining orange zest and powdered sugar over the baked apples. Serve immediately, enjoying the warm and fragrant dessert.
