Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it softens. Combine the softened butter with sugar, vanilla, and salt, then beat until smooth.
Gradually, one at a time, incorporate the eggs into the butter mixture, continuing to beat until fluffy.
Sifted flour and baking powder should be added to the egg and butter mixture; gently stir until the ingredients are combined.
Pour the kefir into the dough and mix thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.
Grease a 26 cm diameter baking pan with vegetable oil to prevent the pie from sticking.
Carefully place the prepared dough into the greased pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Peel them, cut them in half, and remove the core and seeds.
Make frequent longitudinal cuts 3–4 mm deep on each apple half, then sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Carefully arrange the prepared apple halves on the dough, pressing them down slightly to secure them firmly.
Melt 25g of butter and brush it over the apples. Sprinkle sugar in the spaces of dough between the apples. Place the pie dish in an oven preheated to 180°C for 30–35 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer: if it comes out clean from the pie, it's ready.
Remove the finished pie from the oven and let it cool slightly in the pan.
Carefully transfer the cooled pie to an attractive serving dish.
Cut the pie into individual slices and serve with tea or coffee. Enjoy your meal!
