Begin preparing the muffin batter. Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Let the nuts cool, then finely chop them.

Peel the bananas for the muffin batter and transfer them to a small bowl. Mash the bananas with a fork or potato masher until a smooth puree is formed.

Add salt and sugar to the banana puree, then mix thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour in the vegetable oil and mix well again with a whisk (no need to whip).

Sift the flour, cinnamon, and baking powder together. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring thoroughly after each addition. Incorporate the chopped nuts and mix well once more.

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Pour the prepared batter into a rectangular loaf pan, previously greased with a little oil or lined with parchment paper. Smooth the surface of the batter.

Bake the banana bread for 40-45 minutes. It should develop a golden-brown crust on top but remain moist inside (not raw!). Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan.
