Thoroughly wash the berries. Prepare a saucepan and silicone molds for the future candies.
Place the berries in a saucepan, pour in one glass of water, and add sugar. Put it on medium heat. As soon as the contents boil, reduce the heat to low and cook the Saskatoon berries for about 10 minutes.
Place a sieve over a bowl and pour the contents of the saucepan into it. Press the berries remaining in the sieve with a tablespoon to separate the pulp from the skins.
Return the purée to the saucepan. Add the agar-agar and return to the heat.
Stirring continuously, bring the mixture to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes. Ensure that the sugar and agar-agar are completely dissolved in the berry puree.
Pour the thick mixture into molds. Let it cool slightly, then refrigerate for 3 hours until fully set.
Before serving, sprinkle the finished candies with powdered sugar or roll them in sugar for extra flavor and an attractive appearance.
