A classic combination of the most affordable and simple vegetables creates a very tasty and light salad. Thinly shred the vegetables, add the homemade dressing, and then place under a press for 2-3 hours. You can leave it even longer; it will only get better. Under the pressure of the weight, the vegetables will release their juice, which is delicious on its own. Once mixed with the aromatic dressing, the result is simply mouthwatering.

Finely shred the cabbage.
Transfer the cabbage into a large bowl and massage it thoroughly with your hands or a masher.
Add salt and sugar to the cabbage and mix.
Slice the bell pepper into strips.
Grate the carrots using a coarse grater.
Add the pepper and carrot to the cabbage, then mix the vegetables thoroughly.
Crush the garlic using a press. In a small bowl, combine the vegetable oil, vinegar, and garlic.
Dress the salad and mix thoroughly.
Cover the cabbage with a flat plate and place something heavy on top. Leave the cabbage under the weight for 2-3 hours.
