Salad “Beware, Vodka!” It was not by chance that it received such a name: it is truly ideal as a snack for this strong drink. But even if we ignore the alcoholic agenda, it is worth noting the wonderful taste and pleasant crispy texture of the dish. According to the recipe, the salad ingredients (cabbage, cucumbers, peppers, carrots, tomatoes and onions) are cut into strips, transferred to a saucepan, subjected to rapid heat treatment, and then sent together with the released juice into jars, which are immediately sealed. The result is a delicious vegetable preparation for the winter, which is perfectly stored thanks to the addition of table vinegar and a small amount of salt.

Prepare the ingredients for the Beware Vodka Salad. Wash fresh cucumbers and cut off the ends. Cut each fruit in half, then cut into strips. Transfer to a large saucepan.
Chop the cabbage thinly. Add to the pan with the cucumbers. Peel and wash the carrots. Grate using a regular coarse grater or a special one for Korean carrots. Transfer to the pan with the cucumbers.
Peel the onion for the salad, cut it in half and then cut it into half rings. Wash the tomatoes, dry them and remove the bases of the stalks. Cut the fruits into thin slices and place them together with the onions in a pan with other vegetables.
Wash the sweet peppers for the salad, dry them and cut them into halves. Remove seeds and membranes. Cut the pulp into strips. Transfer to the pan with the vegetables.
Add salt and sugar. Stir. Pour in vegetable oil and table vinegar. Mix thoroughly again and place over high heat. Bring quickly to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
Prepare jars and lids for salad. Wash them with a degreaser, then sterilize them over steam or in the oven. Invert onto paper towels.
Arrange the salad “Beware, Vodka!” into hot sterilized jars and immediately roll up the lids. Turn out onto a double folded towel and let cool completely.
