Thoroughly wash the orange. Using a fine grater, remove the fragrant zest from it. Peel the orange, separate it into segments, and remove any white membranes and seeds if present. Transfer the orange segments along with the zest to a blender cup.
Pour milk and refined oil into a blender cup; you can use sunflower or olive oil.
Blend the ingredients at maximum power until a smooth consistency is achieved. Whisk 3 chicken eggs into the mixture and add sugar.
Beat the ingredients again until the mixture is light and airy.
For convenience, pour the mixture into a deep bowl. Add the sifted wheat flour, mixed with baking powder and salt, to the dough.
Using a silicone spatula, mix the pie dough until smooth.
Pour the batter into a 20-22 cm diameter oven-safe baking dish lined with parchment paper. If using a silicone baking dish, there's no need to line it with parchment paper.
Place the pie in a preheated oven. Bake the pastries at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Check the readiness of the baked goods with a wooden skewer. If it comes out dry, without traces of dough, then the pie is ready.
Carefully remove the finished orange pie from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack to room temperature.
If desired, before serving, the pie can be decorated with powdered sugar or drizzled with glaze.
The baked goods turn out very tender, moist, and fragrant.
I'm sure this simple yet very delicious pie will become one of your favorites!
