I love the taste and aroma of coffee. But I am indifferent to the invigorating effect of the drink. If I get the chance, I always spoil myself with coffee-flavored candies and cakes. It's a double benefit when you can eat coffee!

1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Set aside 2 tbsp of white sugar in a separate bowl, this is for the syrup. Pour 2 tsp of coffee into a cup and pour in 3 tsp of warm water to dissolve the coffee. Crush the nuts in the bag with something heavy or chop finely. In a bowl, combine the flour, almond flour, baking powder, white and brown sugar and 2 tbsp of nuts. Add the eggs, yogurt, vegetable oil and dissolved coffee. Mix thoroughly and pour into the mold. Bake at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Check the readiness with a toothpick, if it comes out dry, the base is ready. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. You can cut the cake lengthwise in half now, so it will cool faster.
2
Prepare the syrup. Pour 2 tbsp into a saucepan. l. sugar, 1 tsp. coffee and pour in 3 tbsp. l. water. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
3
Place mascarpone, 1 tbsp in a deep cup. l. powdered sugar and vanilla sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add cooled coffee syrup and stir. Cut the cooled cake in half (if you haven't cut it before). Place cream on half of the sponge cake and cover with the other half.
4
Decorate the cake with icing. Pour 1 tsp into a bowl. coffee, pour in 1 tbsp. l. warm water until the coffee dissolves. Add the remaining powdered sugar and another 1-2 tbsp. l. water, stir until smooth. The glaze should flow from a spoon, but not too runny. Spread frosting over top of cake and sprinkle with walnuts. You can serve.
