Prepare the dried fruits: make sure they are clean and without signs of spoilage. Rinse them thoroughly and soak in a saucepan with water. Leave them overnight to fully develop their flavor, and start the morning by preparing a fragrant compote.
Thoroughly wash the apples and tangerines, using a brush to remove dirt. Divide each fruit into 8–10 neat slices, without peeling them. Remove the core from the apples to make the compote more tender and pleasant to taste.
Into the pot with soaked dried fruits, add slices of fresh ginger, fragrant cinnamon sticks, and prepared fruit slices. Place the pot over medium heat and, after boiling, cook the compote for another 10 minutes so that all the ingredients release their flavor and aroma to the drink.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the compote cool slightly, covered. Remove the cinnamon sticks and ginger slices. Add natural honey to taste and mix thoroughly. Your delicious tangerine and apple compote is ready to serve!
