Prepare all the ingredients for your future culinary masterpiece. Thoroughly wash the oranges and cut them into thin, elegant slices, right with the peel, to preserve maximum flavor. Carefully remove the seeds and create a small knot from them, wrapping them in several layers of cheesecloth, as if hiding a secret ingredient.
In a cozy saucepan, combine orange segments with apple juice, creating the base for the future flavor. Immerse your sachet of seeds there as well, as if adding a pinch of magic. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, and then, reducing the heat to a minimum, let it simmer for 30–40 minutes. This process will allow the orange zest to become soft and pliable under a fork, revealing all its aromas.
The time has come to delicately introduce the sugar, stirring carefully so that each crystal dissolves, as if succumbing to the magic of transformation. Then, increasing the heat, bring the jam to an active boil and let it simmer for about four minutes, so that the taste becomes rich and deep.
The finishing touch: remove the mass from the heat, carefully remove the resulting foam as if getting rid of everything superfluous. Take out the bag of bones that has served its purpose and let the jam cool slightly for 15 minutes. Finally, carefully pour it into sterilized jars, as if you are putting a treasure away for safekeeping.
