Start with a touch of magic: dissolve the yeast in warm milk, then add a little sifted flour. This is the foundation of your future masterpiece!
Thoroughly mix the resulting mixture, cover it, and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour. Let the magic begin!
While the dough rests, zest the orange and squeeze the juice from its pulp. To the remaining flour, add salt, sugar, egg, butter, orange juice, and the yeast mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly, then cover it again and let it rest for another hour to rise.
Prepare the raisins: wash them and pour boiling water over them for 10 minutes. Then add the raisins and orange zest to the dough, and knead thoroughly once more. Also, blanch the almonds in boiling water for 10 minutes, then peel them. Lightly spray a silicone muffin tin (22-24 cm in diameter) with water and place the almonds on the bottom. Spoon the dough into the tin and let it rise for another 20-25 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 200°C. Bake the cake for approximately 45 minutes, until it turns golden brown. After baking, allow it to cool slightly in the pan before carefully inverting it onto a serving plate. Dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving for a finished and appealing presentation.
