Prepare all necessary ingredients: thoroughly wash and peel the potatoes and onions. Wash the eggs and dry them with paper towels. Rinse the chicken drumsticks, removing any excess membranes and sinews. Prepare your kitchen utensils: pots, a frying pan, a potato masher, parchment paper, and a baking sheet.
Cut the potatoes into small pieces and place them in a pot. Cover the potatoes with water and put the pot on the stove. Bring to a boil, then cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender.
Place the chicken thighs in a separate pot and cover them with water. Put it on the stove. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook the chicken for another 40 minutes.
Heat a skillet with vegetable oil over medium heat. Dice the onion finely and add it to the hot oil. Sauté the onion for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
Cool the boiled chicken thighs. Separate the meat from the bones and cut it into small pieces. Add the chopped chicken to the pan with the fried onions, mix thoroughly. Cook everything together for another 8-10 minutes so that the filling absorbs the flavors.
Take a small amount of potato dough and shape it into a boat-like patty. Place the prepared chicken filling in the center of the patty.
Carefully enclose the filling with the potato dough, forming a neat patty. Repeat this process with the remaining ingredients until all the dough and filling are used.
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the shaped zrazy on the prepared baking sheet. Bake them in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until cooked through and golden brown.
Serve the prepared potato zrazy warm, placing a few pieces on a plate. If desired, drizzle them with sour cream for extra tenderness and flavor. Enjoy your meal!
Mash the boiled potatoes with a potato masher until smooth. Add eggs, salt, and pepper to taste to the mashed potatoes. Thoroughly mix all ingredients until you get an elastic potato dough.
