Preheat the oven to 200°C. Generously season the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper, then thoroughly dredge them in flour, ensuring each drumstick is evenly coated.
In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil and butter until lightly sizzling. Sear the chicken drumsticks for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown, then carefully transfer them to a plate.
Cut the peaches into quarters. Sauté them in the same pan where the chicken was cooked for 2-3 minutes until lightly caramelized. Then remove the peaches from the pan.
In the same manner, sauté the quartered tomatoes. Once fried, add them to the peaches.
Slice the red onion into thin half-rings. Sauté it in a pan, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute to release its aroma.
Pour the white wine into the pan with the onions and garlic, then return the seared chicken pieces. Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked.
Add the sautéed peaches and tomatoes to the chicken, cooking for another 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve garnished generously with fresh chopped basil.
