Start with the most important step: extract the juice from the lime. To get the maximum amount of juice, roll the lime vigorously on a table, pressing down with your hand. This will help break down the internal membranes. Then, cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves directly into a cup. Don't forget to use a spoon to extract the last drops of juice from the remnants.
Prepare a striking rim for your glass. Combine medium-grain salt with ground chili powder on a saucer. Moisten the rim of your cocktail or wine glass with the juice remaining on a lime peel, then gently dip it into the salt and chili mixture to create an attractive and aromatic border around the entire circumference.
Now it's time for the cocktail's base. Pour the tomato juice into the prepared cocktail glass. Add freshly squeezed lime juice, oyster, soy, and Worcestershire sauces, along with a few drops of Tabasco hot sauce. Stir all ingredients thoroughly with a long spoon or stirrer to ensure the flavors blend harmoniously.
Chill your cocktail! Add a few ice cubes to the tomato mixture. Then, slowly pour the light beer into the glass until it's full. To stir or not to stir—that's your choice. However, for the first time, it's recommended to stir to taste and adjust the amount of spices if needed, by adding more Tabasco or oyster sauce to your liking.
Complete your masterpiece with an elegant flourish. Take a lime wedge and make a cut halfway through the peel with a sharp knife. Carefully place it on the rim of the cocktail glass. Serve your Michelada with a straw to savor every sip of this amazing drink.
