To bake pancakes, use a non-stick pan – this will allow you to fry them without adding oil. Heat the pan well. Then, spoon out the batter, forming small, elongated patties.
Ensure there's a small gap between the pancakes, about 1.5-2 cm. This will prevent them from sticking together and make flipping easier. Cook the pancakes over medium heat.
Pancakes cook for approximately 2-3 minutes per side. You'll know it's time to flip them when bubbles appear on the surface, the pancake sets, and a golden-brown edge forms.
After flipping the pancakes, continue frying them for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Stack the finished pancakes on a flat plate.
Serve these wonderful eggless buttermilk pancakes hot or warm. They pair perfectly with jam, honey, condensed milk, chocolate spread, or preserves. Enjoy your meal!
Begin by warming the whey. It should be slightly warm. Pour it into a deep bowl where you will be kneading the dough. Add sugar and salt, then stir thoroughly until all the crystals are completely dissolved.
Now, add the baking soda to the whey and stir again. You'll observe the reaction beginning. Then, sift the flour directly into the bowl with the whey. Gently combine all the ingredients, making sure to break up any lumps for a smooth dough.
The dough should be quite viscous, not flowing in a thin stream. Pour in the vegetable oil and mix well again. This will give the dough additional uniformity and smoothness.
