We offer a recipe for almost instant lemonade, which takes no more than 10 minutes to prepare — guests will barely have time to sit at the table. After all, we often want a cool drink "here and now," without any preliminary steeping. By the way, if you pour cold water over fresh ginger instead of boiling it in hot water, it retains much more of its vitamins.

Peel the ginger root using a knife or vegetable peeler. Grate the ginger on a fine grater or cut into small pieces and grind in a blender.
Cut the lemons in half and squeeze the juice out of three halves. Cut the remaining half into very thin slices. Combine lemon juice and grated ginger in a small container.
Dissolve sugar in a quarter glass of warm water until completely dissolved. Add to ginger and lemon juice, stir. If desired, you can strain the mixture through a sieve and squeeze out the ginger particles thoroughly.
Pour the ginger-lemon mixture into the pitcher in which you will serve the lemonade. Pour well-chilled sparkling water over everything, add lemon slices and serve immediately.
