Cooking meatballs in sour cream sauce in a skillet can be done any day, even in the evening after work, and you can achieve excellent results that will be appreciated by all your loved ones. And it is precisely for this simplicity and availability that we love homemade dishes! Minced meat for meatballs can, of course, be purchased at the store, but it is better to make it at home from good quality meat. Then everything is simple: form the meatballs, fry them in a skillet, pour over with sour cream sauce, and simmer for a short time. We have described the cooking process in more detail in the following recipe and are confident that it will be understandable even for a novice cook.

Prepare the minced meatballs. Coarsely chop the beef and pork. Peel the onion. Pass the meat and onions through a meat grinder with a large grid.
Peel the garlic. Pass one clove through a press into a bowl of chopped meat. Salt and pepper to taste. Knead the minced meatballs, then beat it on the work table several times to make the mass more dense.
Wetting your hands with cold water, form the minced meat into meatballs - balls the size of a large walnut. Lay them out on the board.
Heat vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed frying pan. Add the meatballs and cook over medium heat until browned on all sides.
Prepare the sauce for the meatballs. Mix sour cream with flour with a whisk. Add dried herbs, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Stir again.
Pour the resulting sauce over the fried meatballs in the frying pan. Pass the remaining garlic clove through a press. Add to the pan with the meatballs and stir.
Bring meatballs in sour cream sauce to a boil. Simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes without a lid. If the sauce is too thick, add a little hot water.
Divide the meatballs in sour cream sauce into serving bowls and serve immediately. You can sprinkle with chopped herbs. Boiled rice is suitable as a side dish.
