About This Recipe

Donuts on a spoon: crispy, tender, sweet – incredibly delicious! They are very easy to make and even without rolling out the dough. For these donuts, you don't need an oven. The only special tool you will need is a round spoon with a hole in the middle – essentially, a donut spoon. With it, you can make ring-shaped donuts. But if you don't have one, use a regular spoon, then you will get ball-shaped donuts. From there, it's simple: take the liquid dough with the spoon and lower it into boiling oil. When the donut is slightly fried, it will detach from the spoon and float to the surface. Of course, this dish is very high in calories, but treating yourself and your loved ones to the most delicate homemade donuts occasionally is priceless! Follow our step-by-step recipe, and you will succeed!

Preparation Steps

1

Step 1

Prepare donut dough in a spoon. Heat the milk. It should be approximately body temperature, 36-37 degrees. Pour the warm milk into a deep bowl.

2

Step 2

Add salt, sugar and yeast to warm milk. Stir. Sift the flour through a sieve. It's better to do this twice. This way your donuts will turn out tender and airy.

3

Step 3

Stir flour into milk. Add flour in portions, mixing each thoroughly. The dough should be homogeneous, without lumps. Then all the ingredients will begin to interact with each other.

4

Step 4

The dough should be quite liquid. The consistency is approximately like sour cream. Cover the finished dough with a clean kitchen towel and leave in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours. During this time, the yeast will be activated and the dough will double in size.

5

Step 5

After the dough has risen, start frying the donuts. Pour the entire volume of vegetable oil into the pan. Place the pan on the heat and let the oil get hot.

6

Step 6

Dip the donut spoon into the hot oil to get it hot too. Using a regular spoon, scoop into the batter into a donut scoop. Do this carefully: the evenness of the donut will depend on how evenly you place the dough.

7

Step 7

Place the donut spoon containing the dough into the hot oil until the donut comes off the spoon and floats to the top. Let the donut fry in oil for another 5 minutes. You can turn it over periodically.

8

Step 8

While the first donut is frying, scoop out more dough and dip a spoon with a new donut into the butter. Depending on the size of the pan, you can fry 2-3 donuts in it at the same time (in different stages of readiness, respectively).

9

Step 9

Place several layers of paper towels or napkins on a large platter. Remove the finished donut from the oil (it’s more convenient to take it with special tongs or pick it up with a fork) and place it on a plate. The towels will absorb excess oil. When all the donuts are ready, remove the towels, dust the donuts with powdered sugar and serve!

Enjoy your meal!
