Step 1

Prepare all the minced meat ingredients for lean meatballs. Rinse the rice. Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan, add a little salt and bring to a boil. Place rice in it and cook for 15 minutes over low heat. Place on a sieve.

Peel the champignons for the meatballs and cut them into plates and then into strips. Peel and chop the onions. Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add onions and carrots. Stirring, fry over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add mushrooms. Stirring, cook for another 7 minutes. Let cool.

Combine rice with mushrooms fried with onions and carrots. Add flour. Add salt and pepper to taste and stir. The minced meat for lean meatballs with rice is ready.

Prepare the sauce for the meatballs. Dilute tomato sauce with three to four tablespoons of drinking water. Add pressed garlic, paprika, dried herbs to taste, salt and ground pepper. Stir.

Roll the resulting rice mass into meatballs. Place them in the pan. Pour in the resulting tomato sauce. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium and simmer for 10 minutes.
