Monastery Hut Cake made of puff pastry has a very interesting texture: a crispy shell of "tubes" with juicy cherries plus the most delicate sour cream. And if you want to try out the recipe for this wonderful treat, we would be very pleased. You won't have to fuss with making dough: use ready-made puff pastry. You will only need to slightly roll it out, cut into strips, fill with cherries, and bake. After that, it's a matter of technique: stack the "logs," spreading them with cream, and place in the refrigerator for several hours to soak. Then, sprinkle with chocolate and serve the Monastery Hut Cake made of puff pastry at the table.

Prepare the ingredients for the Monastery Hut cake. Transfer the dough from the freezer to the refrigerator overnight: it should thaw slowly so that the layers are not broken.
Once the cake batter is thawed, work on the cherries. Place it in a colander set over a bowl. Let it thaw. Excess liquid will drain into a bowl (you can use it to make drinks).
Mix sugar with starch. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips about 22 cm long and 7 cm wide (15 pieces). Scatter the cherries on top. Sprinkle with sugar mixed with starch.
Form “logs” for the “Monastery Hut”, carefully sealing the edges of the dough strips. Place the resulting pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake the logs for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely at room temperature.
Prepare the cream for the cake. Beat the sour cream with a mixer with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until a fluffy mass of homogeneous consistency is obtained.
Assemble the “Monastery Hut” cake. Place the baked cherry filled tubes on a plate in layers in the following order: 5 pieces, 4, 3, 2, 1, generously covering with cream.
Place the “Monastery Hut” in the refrigerator for 3 hours. Grate the dark chocolate on a coarse grater or plan it. Sprinkle it over the cooled cake and serve.
