Cabbage with stew in a frying pan is another option for a quick and tasty dinner for the whole family. The dish is not difficult to prepare, especially if you use kitchen aids such as a mandoline or rotary grater. It's best to choose a thick-walled frying pan as the stewed cabbage turns out especially juicy and aromatic in it, even if you use tough winter varieties. As for the stew, it can be beef, pork, turkey, or any other meat to your liking. The main thing here is to choose a quality product with a good composition.

Prepare the vegetables. Chop the cabbage thinly. Cut the onion into small cubes or thin feathers. Grate the carrots on a Korean grater. Finely chop the garlic with a knife or pass through a press.
Transfer the stew to a deep plate. Carefully skim off any fat and set it aside. Cut the stew itself with a knife into small pieces, 3-4 cm in size.
In a deep frying pan with a thick bottom, melt the fat from the stew, and if there is not enough of it, add a little vegetable oil. Heat well and add the onion, sauté for 3-4 minutes.
Add the garlic to the frying pan and stir constantly, sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add carrots, and stirring occasionally, sauté for another 4-5 minutes.
Add the chopped tomatoes along with the juice to the pan with the vegetables, and stirring constantly, simmer for 3 minutes. Add cabbage, mix thoroughly. Simmer the vegetables, covered, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes until the cabbage is soft.
Salt and pepper the cabbage, add paprika and hot pepper, mix thoroughly. Add stewed cabbage and stir. Simmer covered for another 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat and leave covered for at least 10 minutes. Serve, garnished with chopped herbs.
