There is nothing tastier than homemade baking: a piece of simple pie with cottage cheese and a cup of hot drink will effortlessly transport you into the world of gastronomic delights. To prepare this dessert, there's no need to knead the dough. Just buy ready-made puff pastry from the store. It's best to choose the yeast variety, as it will make the dessert fluffy and airy. However, the cottage cheese filling will require a bit more effort. To ensure the pie bakes well, you need to briefly place the cottage cheese under a press to remove excess liquid, and then grind it to achieve a smooth, lump-free mass. The special highlight of this dish is the melted butter with sugar, which should be poured over the pie 10 minutes before it’s done. This will give it a crispy sweet crust.

Prepare all the ingredients for a simple cottage cheese pie. Squeeze the cottage cheese in a gauze bag, placing it under pressure for 30 minutes, then grind through a sieve. Finely chop the candied fruits and mix with semolina.
Divide the eggs into yolks and whites. Whisk the yolks with vanilla sugar, add cream, grated cottage cheese and mix thoroughly until smooth.
Cool the whites and then beat them into a fluffy foam. Without stopping whisking, add sugar in a thin stream and beat until a stable foam forms. Gradually, stirring with a spatula from bottom to top, add the whipped whites to the curd mass. Then candied fruits with semolina, mix carefully.
Grease a baking dish with butter. Thaw the dough in advance, then stretch it with your hands and place it in the mold so that it hangs slightly over the edge.
Distribute the curd filling, lightly cover it with the edges of the dough, having first trimmed them evenly and made notches every 2 cm. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 45–50 minutes.
In a frying pan, melt butter with 1 tbsp. l. sugar, stirring until it dissolves completely. 10 minutes before ready, pour this mixture over the pie.
