Apple and cranberry pie is an excellent option for a weekday tea time when there is neither time nor energy for grand culinary projects, but something tasty is desired. There are no hassles with the dough, as we suggest using frozen puff pastry with yeast. It couldn't be easier: buy it, let it thaw, fill it with the filling, and put it in the oven. What is especially nice is that this apple and cranberry pie is liked by literally everyone and disappears from the table in a matter of minutes, leaving the hostess with genuine admiration from the household and well-deserved compliments!

Remove the apple and cranberry pie dough from the packaging and spread the layers on the work surface in one layer. Let thaw completely at room temperature.
Wash the apples for the pie filling, dry and cut into halves. Remove the cores with seeds. If desired, apples can be peeled. Cut the pulp into thin slices.
Melt the butter and let cool slightly. Roll out two thirds of the dough and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, so that the edges of the layer protrude beyond the boundaries of the container. Brush with melted butter. Scatter apple slices and cranberries on top. Sprinkle with sugar.
Roll out the remaining dough into a layer and cover the filling with it. Pinch the edges. Make several cuts on the surface of the future pie with apples and cranberries, brush it with egg. Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.
