How to fry mussels in a pan with onions? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Mussels can be used both frozen and fresh. Lime can be used instead of lemon. I used a package of frozen seafood for the recipe.
First of all, remove the mussels from the freeze and leave at room temperature until completely thawed. For faster defrosting, mussels can be thrown into a colander and held under running cold water.
Peel the onion from the husk. Cut in half and rinse under running water. Cut the onion into thin half rings or quarter rings.
Heat a small amount of olive oil or refined vegetable oil in a heavy bottomed pan. Add the onion to the skillet and stir until lightly golden. At the same time, make the flame a little higher than average.
Send the defrosted mussels to the pan. Mix everything thoroughly with a wooden spatula. Continue cooking over medium heat until liquid appears. Next, reduce the stove a little and simmer the mussels with onions for about five to seven minutes.
When the mussels begin to brown, salt everything to taste and pepper with ground pepper. Mix everything gently and remove the pan from the heat.
Mussels with onions in a pan are ready. When serving, sprinkle the dish with finely chopped herbs. Young green onions or dill are perfect. I have chives this time. Top with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice.
