A simple shortcrust pastry pie with canned fish will impress with its harmonious taste, and people will definitely ask you for the secret of its preparation. The secret lies in the combination of the dough's taste, which contains no salt, and the canned fish, which adds brightness to the filling. To ensure any pies and pastries are delicious, the filling should be well-salted. Canned fish perfectly fulfills this role—the filling stands out against the neutral dough.

Prepare the dough. Pour flour into a bowl, add soft butter and sour cream. Knead the dough. You don’t need to work with the dough for a long time, just gather it into a soft, even ball. Place in a food bag and refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.
Prepare the filling. Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces. Place in a saucepan, cover with cold water and cook until almost done. Add a little salt while cooking. Drain the water and cool the potatoes.
Drain the oil from the canned food and mash with a fork.
Wash the onion and cut into rings. Combine cooled potatoes, sardines and onions. Stir, salt and pepper. The filling should be well salted. The undersalted filling is tasteless.
Take out the dough and divide it into two uneven parts - one slightly larger than the other.
Roll out a large portion and place in the pan. The dough should hang slightly over the edges of the pan.
Place the filling and smooth it out. Roll out the second part of the dough and place it on the filling. Fold the loose overhanging edges of the bottom layer of dough over the top of the pie and press firmly with the tines of a fork.
Make a hole in the center of the cake to allow steam to escape and place the pan in the preheated oven.
Bake the pie with canned fish for 45-50 minutes. Let the finished pie cool slightly.
