Hot dogs with mozzarella and arugula are simple, tasty, and quick! Despite their "street" origins, this appetizer prepared according to this recipe turns out to be quite refined. Traditionally, a hot dog is made with a smoked sausage, mustard, ketchup, onions, and pickles. However, modern recipes for this dish can surprise even seasoned street food enthusiasts with their variety. It's not surprising that a hot dog with mozzarella and arugula resembles something more akin to an Italian bruschetta rather than a classic American sausage in a bun. After all, mozzarella and arugula are iconic Italian products. By the way, we also decided to replace the usual soft bun, giving preference to a French baguette, to make it even more unusual and interesting.

Boil the sausages. Cut diagonally into medium pieces. Cut the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes in half. Remove the pits from the olives and chop the pulp.
For the sauce, place 30 g of arugula and garlic in a blender glass, add salt, 2 tbsp. l. olive oil and lemon juice. Blend with a blender until smooth. Pour the sauce over the cherry tomatoes and cheese.
Cut the baguette into 2 parts. Cut each half lengthwise, slightly missing the end, and open it like a book. Drizzle the bread with olive oil and lightly toast in an oven preheated to 180°C for 2 minutes. Toast the pine nuts in a dry frying pan.
Place cherry tomatoes with mozzarella and sliced sausages in half of the baguette. Garnish with olives, pine nuts and arugula leaves.
