Strawberry carpaccio is a light summer dessert in the Italian style. The word "carpaccio" refers to a dish made from thinly sliced pieces of something. Traditionally, carpaccio is an appetizer made from meat, fish, or seafood. In our recipe, an unusual variation of carpaccio made from thinly sliced strawberries serves as a dessert with lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, vanilla ice cream, hazelnut praline, freshly ground black pepper, and mint.
