Easter wreath – a festive pastry and table decoration made by hand. The yeast dough for the wreath is easy to prepare, you just need to set aside some time, as the dough will need at least 3 hours from the start of the process. However, for most of this time, you can go about your business, only occasionally stopping for small manipulations with the future Easter wreath. The result will definitely be appreciated by both your family and any guests who drop by for the holiday.

Mix yeast in a bowl, 1 tbsp. l. sugar and 1 tbsp. l. flour, pour in warm milk and stir. Leave for 30–40 minutes.
Melt the butter and cool slightly. Beat eggs with sugar and salt, mix with melted butter and pour in the dough. Add flour in portions and knead the dough. Place the dough in a warm place for 1.5–2 hours.
Scald the raisins with boiling water, dry, pour in cognac and set aside for 30 minutes.
On a floured board, roll out the dough into a thin layer, brush the surface with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Distribute the raisins and candied fruits and roll the dough into a roll.
Transfer the roll to a baking tray lined with baking paper, roll into a ring and pinch the edges. Make cuts on the outside of the ring around the entire circumference. Place in a warm place to proof for 20 minutes. Brush the roll with yolk and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 20–25 minutes.
For the glaze, whisk the powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth.
Remove the finished roll from the oven and leave for 10–15 minutes. Then apply the glaze and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
