Apricot glaze will not only make an excellent decoration for your dessert, but will also delight you with its unique taste. We especially recommend making it if you plan to bake a cake or Easter bread. What's especially nice is that you can make it in any season because it doesn't require fresh apricots; it's made from dried apricots. Bright and incredibly aromatic on its own, apricot glaze will gain additional flavor thanks to a few "secret" ingredients—turmeric, lemon juice, or almond extract. These additions will give the glaze an even richer taste. The main thing is to follow the recipe to achieve the desired result.

Finely chop the dried apricots and place in a saucepan. Pour in 400 ml of cold water and add turmeric. Bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat to low and cook dried apricots for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan with dried apricots from the stove and blend with an immersion blender until smooth. Return to heat, lower heat to low, and continue cooking until liquid is almost completely evaporated, about 15 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
Pour powdered sugar into the dried apricot puree, pour in lemon juice and add flavoring. Mix the mixture thoroughly with a mixer or spatula.
