Anyone can make orange jam at home: the key is to find the "right" citrus fruits. Which ones exactly? Not too sweet, not too soft. Seville oranges are ideal (they are quite bitter but very aromatic), but you are unlikely to find them. Instead, you can use just slightly sour oranges, which are not very pleasant to eat fresh. You will find a detailed jam recipe below, and we are sure that once you try it, you will make it again and again — to the delight of all your household members.

Prepare all the jam ingredients. Wash the oranges, then cut into thin slices along with the peel. Remove the seeds and tie them into a knot made of several layers of gauze.
Place orange slices in a saucepan with apple juice. Place the bundle with the seeds there. Bring to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 30–40 minutes until the orange zest can be easily pierced with a fork.
Add sugar and stir until it is completely dissolved. Then increase the heat, bring to a high boil and cook the confiture for about four minutes.
Remove the mixture from the heat, remove the foam from the surface. Remove the bundle with the seeds and discard. Let the confiture stand for 15 minutes to cool slightly. Then pour into dry, sterilized jars and seal them.
