The simplest thing you can prepare for a holiday or even just because is a shortbread cake with nuts and raisins. We're not kidding: the recipe and preparation method for this cake are so easy that anyone can handle the process! Crumbly shortbread dough and a filling of cottage cheese with raisins and peanuts make for a very successful combination of flavors. The cake turns out delicate, not overly sweet, and not greasy, unlike many creamy pastries. It also allows room for confectionery creativity. For example, you can replace the peanuts with walnuts or almonds, and the raisins with dried apricots or prunes. And you can make this dessert every day if you have the desire.
