Cook beef pilaf in a slow cooker using our recipe, and you will see that the dish turns out just as well as in a cast-iron pot. And this is not surprising! The fact is that the slow cooker provides special airtightness, which allows the pilaf to simmer while its ingredients absorb each other's flavors and aromas. The process of preparing the ingredients is quite traditional: the onions should be sliced into half-rings, the carrots into strips, and the beef into cubes. And the rice needs to be thoroughly rinsed. If you do everything correctly, you will get a delicious and aromatic pilaf that the whole family will enjoy.

Prepare the slow cooker and all the ingredients for the pilaf. Cut the beef into small cubes. Cut the carrots into small strips. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.
Place the rice in a bowl. Fill with cold water and rinse carefully. Drain, holding the rice to the edge, then add a fresh portion of water. Rinse the cereal until the water runs clear. Place the rice in a sieve.
Turn on the “Fry” mode in the multicooker. Pour vegetable oil into a bowl and heat it. Add chopped beef. Stir-fry for about 7 minutes.
Add carrots and onions to the multicooker bowl with beef. Stir. Sprinkle with cumin, barberry and turmeric. Fry, stirring occasionally, 7 minutes.
Pour about 500 ml of drinking water into the multicooker bowl. Add salt to taste. You can add a little ground black pepper.
Pour rice into the multicooker bowl, spreading it over the meat and vegetables. Smooth the surface of the rice. The water should be about 1 cm above the rice level. If necessary, pour in a little more water through a slotted spoon.
Peel the top husk of the head of garlic and insert it into the rice. Set the multicooker to the “Pilaf” or “Stew” mode (refer to the instructions for your appliance).
Close the multicooker lid. Cook the beef pilaf until the beep sounds (about 1 hour). Gently stir the pilaf. Divide it among plates or place it on one large platter.
