Limoncello with vodka is one of the varieties of the famous Italian drink, which is prepared using alcohol using classical technology. Why do we offer this particular recipe? Simply because it is much easier to purchase vodka from us than pure alcohol! Thus, the drink will turn out weaker in degrees, but no less tasty. The principle of making limoncello is so simple that it is prepared in almost every Italian family. The drink is consumed in its pure form, as a digestif, and this liqueur is also included in a wide variety of cocktails. Limoncello is usually served very chilled in small glasses that have been previously kept in the freezer.

Prepare all limoncello ingredients. Wash the lemons thoroughly under hot water using a stiff brush to remove the waxy layer that covers the citrus fruit. Dry well with paper towels.
Using a very sharp knife, use a long strip to zest the lemons, being careful not to touch the white layer. Then squeeze the juice out of the fruits. Place the zest in a jar, add half the lemon juice (the rest can be used for other recipes) and vodka. Cover tightly and let sit for a week at room temperature.
Pour water into the ladle. Add sugar and bring to a boil over high heat. Then reduce it to low and cook for 15 minutes. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool.
Strain the lemon tincture through several layers of gauze into a clean bowl. Stir in cooled syrup. Bottle. Seal and leave for 2 weeks in a dark place at room temperature. Cool well before serving. Serve as a digestif.
