Prepare walnuts for tincture. We will only need the unpeeled ones, since the peeled ones do not have internal partitions, and for this recipe they are necessary.
Chop the walnuts so that the shells are easily separated from the kernels. Remove the inner partitions, place in a bowl and cover with boiling water and then drain. Repeat 3 times and drain in a colander.
Transfer the walnut partitions to a wide-necked bottle or jar. Fill with vodka and close the container. Place in a warm, dark place for 3 days.
Strain the tincture through a thick paper filter into a clean bottle. Close tightly and place in the refrigerator. The tincture on the walnut partitions is ready.
