Many people are familiar with this vitamin preparation from childhood - black currants, pureed with sugar. This is another way to preserve vitamins for the winter. There is a lot of sugar in currants pureed with sugar - it is added in a ratio of 1:1 or even more. By spring, such currants begin to become sugary and lose their pristine freshness. Another nuance: if you grind the berries through a meat grinder, contact with metal destroys some of the vitamins, and mashing them manually is too labor-intensive. But with the help of modern devices, the issue can be solved - punch the currants with a blender. Anything will do – submersible or a mixing bowl. You can reduce the amount of sugar if you have a large freezer and store blackcurrants pureed with sugar in it. Then cut it in half.
