If some of the berries that you bought “for food” turned out to be not very ripe, make strawberry liqueur from them. Even 500 g will be enough for a sample: this amount will require one bottle of vodka with a capacity of 500 ml. Well, then, when you taste the liqueur, most likely, the volumes will have to be increased! And the point here is not about alcohol abuse, but about the fact that this wonderful drink can have the widest culinary applications. Strawberry liqueur is good in a variety of cocktails. It can be added to desserts and baked goods. And if you pour a little of the liqueur into the juices remaining in the frying pan from frying the meat and cook a little over low heat, you will get a dizzyingly aromatic sauce that the most sophisticated gourmets will appreciate.

Prepare strawberries for pouring. Remove the stems and sepals from the berries and rinse with cold running water. Transfer the strawberries to a large, clean jar.
Pour vodka over strawberries. Close the jar with a plastic lid and put it in a dark place for 10-14 days. Shake it periodically. Then pour the resulting liquid into a dry, clean jar or bottle. Close the lid.
Add sugar to the jar of strawberries. Close the lid and put both containers in a dark place for another 10-14 days. During this time, a fragrant pink syrup is formed in the jar of berries.
Strain the strawberry syrup through a fine sieve or coffee filter. Throw away the berries (or eat them if alcohol is not contraindicated for you). Combine both liquids and bottle. Seal with stoppers and store in a dark place.
