Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
Pour boiling water over the dried fruits and leave for a few minutes. Then drain the water and dry the fruit with a paper towel.
Make 5 deep longitudinal cuts in the meat. Rub with salt and sprinkle with a mixture of chopped peppers.
Fill the slits with dried fruits: place figs in the middle cut, dried apricots and prunes on the sides.
Tie the meat tightly with kitchen string, place in a baking dish and brush with a mixture of honey, butter and red wine. Place in an oven preheated to 170 - 180* for 1.5 hours.
During baking, the meat must be periodically basted with the resulting juice.
