Five-minute currant jam cooks quickly, five minutes is enough for it to be ready. But there is one important condition: the berries must be sorted, all spoiled and wrinkled ones must be removed. Whether or not to remove the peduncle is a matter of taste. You can trim a dried flower with scissors. This will not particularly affect the quality of the finished jam.

Sterilize jars and lids. Dry.
Sort the berries, wash them, place in a colander and let the water drain.
Place the berries in a bowl containing five-minute jam and cover with sugar. Shake lightly to distribute the sugar evenly. To ensure that the berries in the jam remain as intact as possible, there is no need to stir at this stage. The berries will release juice on their own when heated.
Place the container with currants on low heat. The berries will heat up, release juice, and the sugar will gradually dissolve. A lot of juice will form in which the berries will float. This is enough for the jam to cook and not be liquid. There is no need to add water to the jam!
Bring the jam to a boil and increase the heating temperature. Cook for exactly 5 minutes at a vigorous boil. Stir gently with a spatula or spoon, making sure that the jam does not stick to the bottom. Skim off any foam that forms.
Immediately remove from heat and pour into jars. To prevent the jar from bursting, first pour in 1-2 spoons and let the jar warm up.
Close the jars with five-minute currant jam with lids and place in a dry, dark place.
