Chocolate chip cookies are also called "American" cookies. Indeed, the recipe was invented by a housewife from the United States, Ruth Wakefield. She wanted to please her family with chocolate cookies, but, as luck would have it, she ran out of cocoa. Then the resourceful woman decided to add small pieces of chocolate to the baked goods. Her family liked the cookies so much that the recipe has since spread all over the world. We are sure that crispy, aromatic cookies with chocolate pieces will not leave you indifferent. Why not bake it according to our recipe? Moreover, it is very simple, even a novice housewife can handle it. We advise you to immediately make a double portion of the dough: the cookies disappear from the plate very quickly.

Serves:
Butter - 220 g
Wheat flour - 330 g
Dark brown sugar - 150 g
Chicken egg - 2 pc
Dark chocolate (70-85% cocoa) - 200 g
dough baking powder - 10 g
Vanilla extract - 10 g
Refined vegetable oil - 10 ml
1
To make chocolate chip cookies, remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance to allow it to melt. Grind it together with brown sugar and vanilla extract (you can replace it with a packet of vanilla sugar).
2
Add eggs to the butter one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. It is better to beat with a blender or mixer, or manually using a whisk.
3
Sift the flour together with baking powder. Pour into the egg-butter mixture in portions, beating thoroughly with a blender after each portion. You should get a homogeneous dough without lumps.
4
Grate the chocolate or chop it very finely. To make things easier, you can use ready-made chocolate chips or chips. Place into the dough and mix gently.
5
Knead the dough thoroughly, then divide into 2 parts. Roll each piece out into a sausage on a floured surface, wrap it in cling film and place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
6
Preheat the oven to 180–200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment and grease it with vegetable oil. Remove the cookies from the freezer, cut them into pieces and place on a baking sheet.
7
Bake the cookies for about 10-15 minutes. Then remove it from the oven, transfer it to a plate and cool. Serve with hot tea, milk or cocoa. You can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
