Tsvetaevsky pie with frozen berries can be baked all year round! After all, we will use frozen fruits for the filling. Any berries that you have prepared for future use will do. There is no need to defrost them completely. Simply remove from the freezer 10-15 minutes before use. We will add black currants, but it is also good with red currants, raspberries, and blueberries. And, the classic recipe is generally prepared with apples. The name of the dish is associated with the legendary poetess. They say that the Tsvetaeva sisters loved to treat guests to a fragrant pie with a shortbread base and fruit filling. Therefore, the baked goods began to be called “Tsvetaevskaya”.

Prepare all the ingredients for making Tsvetaevsky pie with frozen berries. Melt the butter in a hot water bath or in the microwave. Cool.
In a separate bowl, whisk the sour cream and sugar. Add oil, stir. Sift flour with salt and baking powder through a sieve, and then knead into a homogeneous dough. Gather into a ball, wrap in film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Prepare a baking dish. It is best to opt for a detachable one, with a diameter of 20 cm. Grease it with butter or vegetable oil, or line it with parchment.
Place the dough in a baking dish, forming high sides. Try to keep the dough evenly thick. Prick it with a fork. Lay out the berries.
Prepare the fill. In a bowl, mix sour cream with egg, sugar and starch. You should get a homogeneous mass. Pour this mixture over the berries and smooth them out.
Preheat the oven to 180˚C. Place the pie and bake it for about 1 hour. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. Remove from pan and cool.
Cool the pie completely and then sprinkle with powdered sugar through a sieve. Garnish with mint and fresh berries. Cut into pieces and serve with hot tea.
