About This Recipe

Not having an oven won't do you any justice! This tender and aromatic berry pie can be prepared in a slow cooker. So save the recipe for yourself and delight your family with homemade baked goods. Fortunately, this pie is incredibly easy to prepare. You can use sour cream of any fat content. But it’s better to take at least 20%. It is thicker, and the dough with it turns out tastier. It is better to make a pie with fresh berries. It turns out more flavorful. But, if you have frozen one, then roll it in starch and put it in the dough without defrosting. This way, it will not release juice and the cake will not flow. Any berry will do: strawberries, raspberries, cherries and currants.

Preparation Steps

1

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients according to the list for making milk pie with berries. Sort the berries and then wash them thoroughly. Dry on a kitchen towel.

2

Step 2

Sift the flour through a sieve along with baking powder and salt into a deep bowl. Stir with a whisk until the ingredients are evenly distributed.

3

Step 3

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. If desired, you can use powder instead of sugar, then it dissolves more easily and no grains remain in the dough.

4

Step 4

Beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer or blender at low speeds, gradually increasing them, until a fluffy light mass is obtained. You may need about 10 minutes for this process.

5

Step 5

Continuing to beat with the mixer, add sour cream to the dough. It is best to use 20% and above. It can be replaced with natural Greek yogurt, if necessary.

6

Step 6

Start adding dry ingredients into the egg mixture in small portions, stirring with a whisk. Knead a homogeneous dough without lumps. It should resemble thick sour cream.

7

Step 7

Mix berries with 1 tbsp. spoon of flour. Grease the multicooker bowl with butter. Pour the dough into it. Place prepared dry berries on top. It can be black or red currant, cherry or any other.

8

Step 8

Turn on the multicooker to the “Baking” mode and cook for about 50-60 minutes (or exactly as long as the program in your kitchen appliance provides).

9

Step 9

Carefully remove the finished berry pie from the multicooker bowl, using a wooden spatula, and place it on a wire rack. Cool to room temperature.

10

Step 10

Before serving, garnish with fresh berries and powdered sugar, sprinkling it through a sieve. Serve with tea, milk or kefir. Bon appetit!

Enjoy your meal!
