Get out the food processor. Today our recipe is grated berry pie. But even if there is no harvester, it doesn’t matter. The dough can be kneaded by hand, and the crumbs can be made using a regular grater. You will have to spend a little more time and labor, but the result itself will pleasantly surprise you. The cake turns out crumbly and tender. The combination of sweet and sour berries with sweet dough will please everyone. In summer, fresh juicy berries can be used as a filling, and in winter, pre-prepared jam or jam is suitable. Tasty, aromatic, slightly sour and easy to prepare, the pie is definitely worth preparing for the arrival of guests or just to please your loved ones.

Prepare all ingredients according to the list for grated berry pie. Rinse the berries thoroughly, sort them, remove spoiled ones. Then rinse with clean water and place in a colander to drain the liquid.
If you have a food processor, place all the ingredients for the dough in a special bowl and grind until smooth. Then knead the dough with your hands. If there is no device, we will cook by hand.
Start by combining all dry ingredients. Sift the flour through a sieve to saturate it with oxygen. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, salt and mix.
Remove the butter from the refrigerator and immediately grate it directly into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Grind everything with a fork or your hands into fine crumbs.
Break the eggs into a bowl with flour crumbs and quickly knead into a homogeneous dough. Divide it roughly in half, roll each part into a ball and wrap in cling film. Place 1 part in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Place the other one in the freezer and wait until it becomes hard.
Grease a round pan with butter or line with baking paper. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, roll it out and put it in the mold, using your fingers to form sides. Place in the refrigerator again.
Place berries, sugar and starch in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until the berry mixture thickens (about 5 minutes). Then cool to room temperature.
Remove the pan with the dough from the refrigerator and spread the filling into it. Level it out. Remove the second portion of dough from the freezer and grate it directly over the pie, distributing the crumbs over the entire surface of the pie.
Preheat the oven to 180˚C. Place the pie in the oven and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer: if it comes out dry, it’s ready.
First cool the cake directly in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack and cool to room temperature. The filling should stabilize. Cut into pieces and serve.
