Flatbread with cheese on water - baked goods for every day. Tasty, simple and the very first one that ancient people learned to cook. There is no country that claims to be her homeland. This dish is international. Every cuisine in the world has its own recipe. The first flatbread appeared, as often happens, thanks to chance. A thick porridge was cooked from ground grains. And by chance, a little of this stew was spilled on the hot stones. The dough was fried and covered with a crust. It turned out delicious. Later the recipe was changed, adding more and more sophisticated ingredients. So our cakes turn out fluffy and airy due to yeast. And on top they are covered with a golden cheese crust. Consolidation!

Prepare the dough for flatbreads with cheese using water. In a deep bowl, mix the yeast with a small amount of warm water. Cover with a towel and let stand for 5-10 minutes in a warm place.
In a large container, mix the sifted flour, salt and sugar. Pour in the yeast mixture and vegetable oil. Knead until the dough is quite firm. Cover with film and leave for 35 minutes.
Sprinkle your work surface with flour. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead it with your hands. Divide into 6 equal parts. Roll out each piece with a rolling pin to a thickness of 0.5 cm.
Line a baking tray with baking paper and grease it with vegetable oil using a silicone brush. Place the cakes at a short distance from each other.
Melt the butter in a hot water bath or in the microwave. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Brush each flatbread with oil using a brush. Sprinkle with garlic powder and cheese.
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Cover the tortillas and place in a warm place to rise. Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown. Serve warm.
