If you want to diversify your tea drinking, prepare plum jam with cocoa for the winter! Thick and aromatic thanks to cocoa powder, ground cinnamon and vanilla seeds. The recipe is quite simple, but there are still a few nuances. It is better to choose plums that are firm but ripe. The bone should be removed well from them. In extreme cases, the pulp will simply have to be cut off from it. Vanilla beans can be hard to find in the store, so you can use vanilla sugar. We will cook the jam in one batch, but for quite a long time so that it thickens well. Then it will be easy to spread on toast, pancakes or pancakes!

Prepare all the ingredients according to the list for plum jam with cocoa for the winter. Pass the water through a filter or use bottled water, but not mineral water.
Rinse the plums thoroughly with clean water, remove any spoiled ones, and then place the fruits on a towel and blot with a second one. The fruits must be completely dry.
Cut clean plums in half and remove pits. And then cut into slices. Place in a clean, enamel wide container that you plan to use to make jam.
Using a knife, remove the seeds from the vanilla pod. In a small saucepan, combine cocoa powder with sugar, vanilla seeds and ground cinnamon. Stir.
Boil water (200 ml) and pour into the dry mixture. Stir. Then you can put the mixture on low heat and bring to a boil so that the sugar dissolves.
Pour cocoa with sugar and spices into a container with plums and stir. Place the container with jam over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.
Cook the chocolate plum jam, stirring with a long-handled wooden spoon. This will help you avoid getting burned. Skim off the foam. It will take about 40-50 minutes.
Prepare jars and lids. You will need either a 1 liter jar or two 0.5 liter jars. If convenient, you can use many small jars.
First, rinse them thoroughly with clean water and baking soda. Then sterilize in the microwave by pouring some water into the jar. It will take about 3-7 minutes (depending on the power of the microwave). Boil the lids.
Place hot jam into jars. Seal with lids (screw or iron). Turn upside down and leave to cool overnight. Store in a dark place.
