Discover the magic of flavor with this unique recipe for baked porridge in a pumpkin! To prepare this dish, you'll need a small, round pumpkin, which will serve not only as a vessel for the aromatic porridge but also as part of the culinary masterpiece. The amount of groats and milk will depend on the size of your pumpkin, but remember that the liquid should be 3-4 times the amount of groats. You can choose millet, rice, or oatmeal, but keep in mind that it will expand beautifully in the oven, so don't fill the pumpkin to the brim; leave a little space. To add a special aroma and taste, include cinnamon and vanilla in the porridge. This dish will be a true centerpiece for your table and will delight everyone with its unusual appearance and delicate flavor!

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Wash the pumpkin thoroughly and dry it with a paper towel. Rinse the millet under running water until the water runs completely clear. Then, scald the groats with boiling water to remove any potential bitterness. Prepare a baking dish or tray, as well as a grater and aluminum foil.
Carefully slice off the top of the pumpkin; this will serve as the lid. Don't discard it!
Carefully remove the seeds and fibrous parts from the pumpkin's core. Scoop out some of the flesh, being careful not to damage the walls or bottom. Grate the extracted pumpkin flesh using a fine or medium grater.
Wrap the pumpkin in 2-3 layers of foil, leaving the top open. Return the shredded pulp to the pumpkin. Add sugar and a pinch of salt.
Pour the thoroughly rinsed millet into the pumpkin.
Pour in the milk. Place a pat of butter on top.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place the pumpkin in the prepared dish. Cover the pumpkin with its cut-off top and then with aluminum foil. Bake the pumpkin in the oven for 1.5 hours.
Serve the prepared porridge with butter and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds. Serve hot, and if desired, you can add a little honey.
