If you've opted for frozen strawberries, take them out of the freezer ahead of time. Transfer the berries to a sieve and let them sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes to thaw naturally. If you wish to speed up the process, rinse them with warm water. Any juice that drains from the berries can be discarded, as it won't be needed.
Peel the banana, cut it into large pieces, and place them in a blender. For the best flavor and consistency, use a ripe but not overripe fruit; avoid green bananas.
Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise with a sharp knife and carefully scrape out the fragrant tiny black seeds with the tip of the blade. Add them to the blender cup with the sliced banana to give the drink a refined aroma.
